Amy is a furniture artist, thrift-a-holic & mom of two, reimagining furniture out of her home in Royersford, PA. If you ask anyone who knows me well, they'll tell you I don't know how to sit still for very long. Which translates into not being able to sit at a desk for long periods. A regular 9-5 office job has never been a good fit for me. When my son was 2 (he's now fast approaching 13 😲), I started my journey working for myself. Over the past 10 years, I've started and scaled two successful businesses in e-commerce. I transitioned out of both businesses in early 2020 in search of something new. Doing the same thing repeatedly turned my business into a JOB, and I wanted to find the excitement again. I've always enjoyed refinishing and updating furniture for my own home. When my kids went back to in-person learning, I decided to see if I could sell some of my work. Now it's what gets me out of bed in the morning. Why do I love what I do? ▹ I learn something new daily, from working with clients and finding new vendors to new techniques and finishes. ▹ I can do it out of my own home (for now), which allows me to be there when my kids need me. ▹ I'm not stuck at a desk for more than 15 minutes at a time.
