Alexandria" - A regal Queen Anne style burl wood secretary and glass hutch that has maintained her beauty through the years. She likely originates from the U.S. with no maker's mark, but was found by a designer over 33 years ago for her previous owner. The burl wood is exquisite and carries through on top of the desk (although covered by the hutch) and is also included on the back of the desk (but not the hutch). She stands tall on four beautifully carved cabriolet legs and includes two drawers in the desk and two smaller drawers inside the desk with one cubby behind the burl wood center door. Note the additional detail of the carved apron above the cubbies and the leather padded and gilded writing area. The hutch includes two adjustable shelves that are 7 3/8" deep. She includes a key that operates the glass hutch only, although locks are included for the desk and drawers. There might have been two seperate keys in her past. (I am hoping to find a key to allow locking of the drawers as well.) She's a beautiful accent and functional piece for any room! Measurements: 22"D x 35"W x 77.75"H

I discovered a love for painting on canvas nine years ago after attending an evening art class with a friend. I thought it would be good to push myself to try something new and get away from my daily grind in front of a computer. I loved it and realized I wasn’t half bad! Fast forward to Covid lock downs in 2020. Another decision to push myself to embrace learning something new while stuck at home. I took a series of classes offered remotely with live zooms that fed my desire for connection and community. In 2021, a new passion was born taking my love for painting to a new canvas - furniture! Plus, I gained the added satisfaction of restoring a once discarded vintage or antique piece and breathing new life into it. Each piece includes proper repairs, if needed, and a custom finish honoring it’s original style for you to cherish and enjoy for generations to come! You will see I love to retain any beautiful wood when I can. I gained an appreciation for beautiful wood as a little girl helping my father with various projects from building a wood frame for the hull of a speed boat he designed and built in our garage to refinishing an antique baby grand piano! I hope you enjoy the transformations and pieces shared here in my shop! Each one is given a name to suit their style and unique story. Enjoy!
