Hello! I'm a Mid-West girl at heart hailing from Chicago and now living in St. Louis. Although I live in the middle of the country, career and family interests have allowed me to travel extensively, and even live abroad over the past 40 years. From my travels and curiosity grew a love of cultures, history, geography, languages, and art: I live to dig into understanding various peoples and their surrounding, allowing me to incorporate an expanded sense of color, line, purpose, and harmony into my work as a decorative artist. Breathing a second life into vintage and antique furniture and decor is like ... magic to me. My perfect day would be discovering an unwanted piece, talking with the owner or researching the history of it, connecting with my notes or an expert on the use/era/style, and planning or executing the perfect finish to bring it back to relevance. Each item I personally select is given my full attention and make take some time to come to market. It is cleaned, checked and repaired, it's history studied, and a finish chosen and applied. Top quality products and time-honored restorative processes are used on each piece: only real milk paints, chalk paints, and low-or-no-VOC products are used, many of which follow traditional application.
