Hello, everyone! I’m Gina Lewis, originally from Detroit, Michigan-the Motor City & birthplace of Motown music-now living in Hampstead, North Carolina with my four children, six dogs, two cats, and two lizards:) In my past life, I worked as a design engineer at Ford Motor Company. A temporary job brought me to NC and the rest is history! I now have four amazing kids: Harrison (20); Ben (18); Grayson (14); and Lorelai (13)! Our six rescue dogs are Stormy and Copper (11); Luna & Kipper (7); and Luna’s pups, Mavis & Ace (5)! We have two cats, Pumpkin and Sabrina, and a bearded dragon, Clover, and a leopard gecko, Rex. You’d never know we are animal lovers:) I started focusing on my love for art in 2019 after my mother passed away; it was great therapy for me and gave me a sense of accomplishment to lift my spirits. I’d watched mom oil paint & make custom crafts as a child, so I think it rubbed off a bit:) During Covid 2020, I dove head first into furniture refinishing and never looked back! My kids love to be part of the process and love seeing the finished product! I’m also able to work from home, which affords us so much quality time that I couldn’t any other way. It’s a win in all aspects of our lives! When I’m not painting, I weight lift and bake:) My focus is to create one of a kind pieces using various unique styles including g blending paint colors, using texture on surfaces and letting each piece tell me what it needs to be its best!
