Hi! My name is Jen. I live in a south suburb of Chicago. My journey started in 2010, long before furniture artistry was a "thing". I would load my two young boys into the car on garbage night and we would make a game out of finding salvageable furniture. Back then the trend was heavy distressing and I practiced that technique until I mastered it! I immediately fell in love with the process of taking something that someone thought was trash and giving it new life. I would take before and after photos, have them developed (yes, I said developed) and drop them off in the mailbox of the home that I picked the piece from. Years later I found success selling on Marketplace and doing work for friends and family and now here I am! My pieces are typically very textured. I also love to work with wax - I love the grungy, lived in look that it gives. Furniture pieces that I can make look as though they have stood the test of time or perhaps been handed down from your great grandmother are my favorite! I hope you like what you see :)
