About Seller

One of the most frequently asked questions I get is where the name Lazy Days and Sundays* came from. When I first heard about chalk paints, I was still working full time. So, the only time I had to paint was on lazy days or Sundays...hence the name. So much for creativity! The encounter with chalk paints gave voice to my love of all things old and beautiful. I took a small piece painting class in the OC, here in Southern California, as a favor to a friend who wanted to take the class. She went on to live a normal life, but I was captivated! It was the first step to releasing that inner creative self - on a full-time basis that is. Shortly after I retired, from 32 years in the medical field, Lazy Days and Sundays came to be. Painting and restoring vintage furniture has given me a creative voice to express my appreciation for the amazing quality of these old pieces. Seeing them come to life under the paint brush; letting it evolve as I go along just brings me joy. Personally, and as a company, I am committed to recycling, repurposing and re-inventing - saving unwanted beauties from the landfill one piece at the time. Where the past is re-imagined for today.
