Hello, and welcome to The Boujee Brush. I am Melissa, founder and sole proprietor of The Boujee Brush. I was born and raised in New Jersey in a small town. Bloomsburg University is my alma mater where I graduated with a degree in elementary education. Teaching elementary school for 30 years was very fulfilling, but I always had a love for art and being creative. In 2020 I retired and took a huge leap of faith and moved to Florida where I live very happily. I have one beautiful daughter who has also moved to Florida. I am a true believer in that silver lining. I started painting furniture during covid and truly fell in love with it. It made me forget about the troubles of the world. I threw myself full in and found myself painting at 2:30 in the morning and just losing myself in it. Love what you do and you never work a day in your life is a saying that is genuinely indicative of my present life. My furniture genre living in Florida is mostly coastal pieces. I enjoy creating and offer shabby chic, traditional, boho and country French pieces.
